Add Pinterest to your iPad, iPhone, or iPod

You can get the Pinterest app for iPhone or iPad from the Apple App Store. Please note that the Pinterest app requires iOS 6.0 or later. Our app is not available to devices that have versions below iOS 6. You'll need to access Pinterest on your device's web browser and go to www.pinterest.com.

Why am I getting an error that I need iOS6?

To use the Pinterest app, you'll need to have iOS6 or higher on your Apple device. If you're not sure how to update, check out Apple's support page.

We wanted the Pinterest app experience to be an amazing one, so we built the app using the latest iOS technology. Unfortunately, this means if you have an iPhone 3G or earlier phone, you won't be able to use our app. If you have an old version of the app, don't delete it! You won't be able to install the newest version.

If the iPhone or iPad app has stopped responding, closes on launch, or crashes, please try the following:

  1. Fully quit the app then restart it
  2. Uninstall the app then then re-install it from the Apple App Store
  3. Turn your device off and on again
  4. Log in using Facebook, Twitter, or email address and you’ll be back to pinning in no time!

If you need help fully quitting or uninstalling the app, check out Apple's support page.

Will I lose my Pins if I uninstall the app?

No, you won't lose your Pins if you uninstall! You can always log into Pinterest on the web by going to pinterest.com/login and signing in with your email address and password. If you don't remember your password, click Forgot your password to start a password reset.
